Seven Card Stud

In Seven Card Stud you are dealt seven cards, there are no community cards used in this game, but four out of your seven cards are dealt face up. As with the other games you are trying to make the best five card poker hand.

In Seven Card Stud there is no dealer button, the players cards decide the action. All players receive two hole cards and one card face up. It’s the player with the lowest card showing that must make a bring-in bet. If more than one player has the same value for a low card then it goes by the suits. From high to low: Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, therefore the player with the club would always make the bring-in bet.

The betting continues clockwise from the left of the player making the bring-in bet.

The first betting round is complete and now a fourth card is dealt face up, now the actions begins with the player that has the best two up cards.

Another card is dealt face up, and again the action begins with the player that has the best up cards.

A sixth card is now dealt face up, and the action starts with the player who has the best four up cards.

The seventh and final card is dealt face down, again the action begins with the player that has the best up cards. All remaining players after the final betting round enter showdown where they make the best five card poker hand.
